Visits by journalists and digital content creators to the Costa Brava and Girona Pyrenees destinations are key to projecting and positioning the tourist offering at national, state and international levels. The organisation of press trips and blog trips has established itself as one of the most powerful communication and public relations tools, with the best return on investment (ROI) for a destination as diverse as ours.
These actions improve the brand’s reputation and provide added value based on credibility and third-party endorsement, thus complementing the advertising campaigns being carried out. At the same time, they allow us to accurately segment the target audience and continuously generate up-to-date, high-quality content.
In 2025, the Costa Brava Girona Tourist Board has organised, collaborated on or participated in 85 trips for influencers, bringing more than two hundred professionals from around fifteen countries to the region. These actions have yielded tangible results: from articles and extensive features in the print press and travel magazines to television and radio coverage and specialised blogs. In the digital sphere, they have generated millions of impressions on social media (Instagram, TikTok and X), with a huge reach. Ultimately, this content has succeeded in inspiring and influencing potential visitors, and in awakening the desire to discover our destinations.
The success of this strategy is made possible by the direct involvement of the region’s tourism entities and businesses. Their support and commitment in welcoming these influencers are fundamental to offering distinctive, high-value services and experiences that make us unique in the world.
