More cruise passengers visiting the ports of Palamós and Roses in 2025; promotion of the Costa Brava Cruise Ports brand in the United States.
The Costa Brava Cruise Ports brand was promoting itself at Seatrade Cruise Global, held from 7 to 10 April in Miami, Florida (US). During the event, representatives of the brand met with around fifteen companies, including Silversea, Saga, Explora Journeys, Marella and Orient Express, to attract new high-end cruise ships to the ports of Palamós and Roses and promote the Costa Brava as a destination.
Good prospects and outlook for the 2025 cruise season
The ports of Palamós and Roses expect to receive a total of 82 cruise ship calls and nearly 70,000 passengers. This means a 31% increase in passengers and a 41% increase in calls compared to last season. According to a study by the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA), the economic impact of this activity in the region is estimated at €6.6 million.
Twenty cruise companies, 85% of which are high-end, are expected to visit the Costa Brava this season. The arrival of this type of vessel means that tourists with greater purchasing power will visit the region, generating significant revenue for the municipalities and their surrounding areas.
